During the process of socialism cultural construction,fashion communication has been paid more and more attention as an important part of communication culture,because of its obvious international and leading specialty. With the development of socialism marketing economy,fashion communication has rised and developed in many ways.Fashion magazine is one of the earliest produced fashion communication means,it has strong enterprise group and numerous readers.So fashion magazines are playing an important role in modern culture construction.This paper uses the view point of ideology of Marxism creatively merges and crossly researches including Marxism theory,communication and culture study.The research focuses on the content of fashion magazines, usefulness and influence on deep study in order to understand the meaning of fashion magazines and its social significance.The development of fashion magazines is closely connected with the changes of Chinese economy,politics and culture.When readers are reading fashion magazines,they can not only enjoy sensuous comforts,but also improve visual grade and life taste.Otherwise,the readers’consumption values can also be influenced.The tide of fashion which magazines caused include clothing,facial care,even fitness and travel.They constantly advocate the concept of enjoying life.Many readers treat the concept and living ways which fashion magazines advocate as the treasure leading book of modern life.People follow fashion magazines’ guide to care beauty,shop and travel. Fashion magazines not only provide an indispensable cultural entertainment,but also effect people’s value and living ways.The influence is more obvious on female fashion consume mode.This paper chooses five fashion magazines as study objects.Writer analyse the quantitative statistics from six aspects which are advertisement,articles and papers,article types,themes,female image and regional differences.On the foundation of these statistics,writer put fashion magazines under Marxism ideological theories and deeply analyze fashion magazines’ideologics combines with feminism,consumerism,identities,cultural imperialism.The paper summarises four characteristics of fashion magazines,including conspicuous,class nature,appreciate beauty and guidance quality.In the end,paper discusses the significance fashion magazines lead to modern society,including both positive significances such as lead fashion communication,help readers improve oneself values and merge cultural communication between China and the world;also some negative significances,such as conspicuous consumption,patriarchy-centered status and the invasion of western values.These analyses provide an orientation to correctly regard fashion magazines’ development and the influence they lead to society.Due to the communication and marketability of fashion magazine, it not only spreads beauty and clothing but also contains living concepts and.value with times characteristic.Fashion magazines stand for a cultural phenomenon.They become the bridge to conect people and fashion communication.Fashion magazines show their own elegant appearance and express the combination of Chinese and western culture.Its ideology is not politic meaning,but has symbol meaning.The ideology has turned from spiritual dimension to material dimension.The study on fashion communication will be beneficial for the study of Marxism and push forward Chinese social culture construction.
