With the rapid development of microelectronics, image processing and computersoftware technology, medical imaging to be used in clinical diagnosis has been gainingmore and more attention. On the market of medical image diagnosis apparatus, most ofthese apparatus are made of expensive image pickup device, image acquisition, processingand analysis all completed based on the general computer that always in a big size, what’smore, the maintenance of the equipment cost a lot, which make the cost of the tradeincreased as a result. So there is a broad application prospect of researching medicalimaging equipment based on embedded system.Aim at the requirements of fundus angiography imaging system, based on the in-depthstudy and analysis of the technology of application development in embedded system,mysql database and image processing, we developed one kind of fundus angiographysystem which is based on the Linux-based embedded system. Firstly, this paper describesthe principle of FFA(fundus fluorescein angiography), analyzes and compares theadvantages and disadvantages of the common fundus diagnostic imaging equipment onsale, and summarizes the latest developments in digital image processing and embeddedsystem technology. Secondly, we select a series of image processing algorithms aftertesting on the commonly used algorithms on the aspect of performance and complexity inorder to meet the requirement of the system and achieve the processing and analysis of thefundus image. Thirdly, on the basis of summarize the popular cross-platforms in embeddeddevelop environment we build a set of cross-platform based on the latest version of thecross-compiler and translate the full-featured open source database system mysql to theembedded system which using arm-core microprocessor. Finally, this paper design andachieve the main part of the angiography imaging system software, which includingsystem management, patient data management, image acquisition and processing anddocument management section, what’s more, we achieve the data of system configurationshared in cross-platform using XML(eXtensible Markup Language).We put forward one kind of feasible low-cost method to apply fundus image in theclinical field of automated diagnosis on the basis of the research to embedded angiogramsystem. It is also one time of meaningful attempt for the study of medical imagingequipment based on embedded system.
