Precision guidance weapon has great power to destroy in modern war, it is able to play the key role in attacks no matter for strategy or tactics. But the set of electronic computer devices needed deduce the flexibility much during the process of launching precision guidance weapon, and increase the demand of replenishment greatly. The embedded system application technology gives us a new sight to increase the flexibility of numbers of computer devices with lower demand of replenishment.With this backdrop, this paper takes an all-sided research on the embedded image processing system application technology involving the embedding process of image processing devices during launching missile, puts forward the development flow and stages of embedded image processing system. This paper also takes special research on such a series of questions as below: the development of embedded operating system (OS), the advantages of Linux OS to develop embedded OS are analyzed, the development of embedded Linux OS is studied from the kernel making, customizing file system, and system booting. The embedded image processing application technology, a focus is taken on the research of the relation between embedded system application technology and image processing technology when the embedded image processing application development is carried out, the new development of image processing technology in embedded system environment and the features of embedded system of image processing application are analyzed. Graphic user interface (GUI), the current popular GUI technology is introduced, and the main features of them and the reasons to choose MiniGUI are analyzed, the implementation of MiniGUI and the method to develop graphic application based on MiniGUI are studied, too, it works well in practical application. The research of real time capability, the factors of real time performance in OS are analyzed, several real time solutions of Linux OS are carried out, and the pertinent disquisition of the process schedule system of OS is carried through.
