The power system application software has the deficiency in user experience, and it has difficult to reuse and interconnect in different platform and programme language. This paper research and design the Relay Protection Principle Simulation System using on the Web new technology and the SOA.First, this paper conducted a comprehensive analysis the deficiency of current distributed power system application software in some areas such as interface display and multiplexing, cross-platform interoperability. Using the SOA,the traditional business logic can be encapsulated into a service interface which is a technology-independent interface, thereby reducing the coupling between system, paper applys and designs the layered architecture bases on this architecture; Second the universal model, data structure and function module of protection simulation is designed, in order to achieve the data access layer and business logic layer; Finally, the definition and implementation service contract, data contract and service category using the WCF technology, complete the package of services for function module, apply the RIA characteristic of Silverlight designs the interactive interface, and to achieve the layer of service calls.This paper is mainly research on the Relay Protection Principle Simulation System Base on the Web new technology. In this paper this system using service-oriented architecture (SOA) has some advantages such as:cross-platform, highly reuseably, easy to upgrade and maintenance, apply the Rich Internet Application (RIA) develops the interface greatly improves the user experience.
