With the rapid development of national electric power industry, power capacit y, power plant installed capacity increased year by year,operating modes of powe r network becomes more and more complex, the relay protection reliability, selectiv ity, sensitivity and speed of the increasingly high demand. Relay protection manage ment mode is still the traditional, backward management, there is a direct relations hip between quality management effect and personnel, especially the setting calculat ion, increase the gap between the factory setting calculation of power plant, a lot o f fixed value calculation error have not been found, equipment with disease operatio n, the existence of security risks. The plant needs urgently a kind of advanced ma nagement system to solve the current predicament.Province of adjustment of power plant monitoring means more, measurement, fr om the initial RTU upload. Remote signal, the remote control, and automatic devic e, more and more network transmission of data, such as PMU, AVC, fault wave rec ording sub station, the automatic device connectivity rate and accuracy rate the provin ce into the assessment scope. The power plant is more and more high transparency,the dispatching department flexible adjustment of operation mode, reasonable arran gement of load distribution, quick judgment of fault handling provides a large numb er of real-time data, the superiority of the unified management is well reflected. O n the contrary, the power plant relay protection management is relatively backwar d.Power plant as a terminal enterprise of electric power system should also fac e Group Company, grid scheduling, supervision and guidance of management, electri c power research institute. At present, the relay protection of power plant informatio n acquisition unit is still using the traditional way of personnel reported, this way ha s some drawbacks: first, the superior departments have some software platform of t heir own, but these platforms are islands of information, not to share the basic data,users have to enter the same information in every application software Li, increas es the workload. Second, these data are some basic protection configuration inform ation, the protection switching, equipment defects, counter measures implementation, te chnical condition monitoring information can not be. Third, power plants without a corresponding software platform, just upload the data to a passive, data cannot be shared.The topic for the power plant management status, according to the characterist ic of relay protection management, development and design of the system. Throug h the integration of relay protection basic data maintenance management three aspec ts of management, technical supervision, setting, with data maintenance, report, appr oval process, setting calculation, setting management and other functions, to establi sh the relay protection management system in power plant, and the dispatching m anagement information network, to establish the network connection and the compa ny, the pacified ser, realize "source maintenance, whole network sharing" target, con venient in LAN equipment running status, the superior company monitoring, superv ision of the implementation of the setting calculation, formed covering the whole p rovince of comprehensive management system of power plant relay protection, to r ealize information sharing.
