The electrical adjustable antennas have been found widely use in the modernmobile systems. The LTE system will be large-scale layout by the China MobileCommunications. In the paper, the LTE base station electrical adjustable antenna isdesigned for China Mobile Communications. Expand the design focus on thefollowing four aspects:(1) dipole components;(2) second power splitter;(3) Analogphase shifter;(4) array antenna.In this paper, firstly, the concept and the application background of LTE areintroduced. Then the electrical adjustable antenna and the antenna manufacturers alsobe introduced. The several common design solutions of dipole component and thephase shifter are given. In the second chapter, the basic theory of the electricaladjustable antenna is analyzed. Then the “Ansoft HFSS” and “ADS” are introduced.In the third chapter, the electrical adjustable antenna works is introduced. Then theLTE electrical adjustable antenna indicators are broken down into three majorcomponents of the indicators. In Chapters IV and V, simulation design and measuredthe three part components. From options to the establishment of the simulation model,finally to prototyping and testing. In Chapter6, based on the completion of threemajor components designed, the array antenna assembly be debugged and tested.From the test results, the overall index is good. A few radiation indicators did not meetthe required value difference smaller, and for actual network quality was less affected.
