With rapid development of society and economic, high-tech is widely used in thepower system, and more and more RMU is used in power system. The City RMU playsan important role in power construction system. As the need of developing country’spower system, it is becoming important to monitor the RMU condition.At present, theclosed ring counter and branch box is not directly examined by the electrical equipment.Now, it just does it by indirect inspection of electrical work, however, this way is notonly a complex process, but also have risk of security. So, monitoring the state of thering counter becomes a key issue.This thesis is study in early-warning monitor, and proposed a solution to solvethose problems. Based on the udp protocol, it can mointer the RMU states and do earlywarning. According to the system functional requirements, the system is concludingmonitoring parameters using RMU---server-side collection-monitoring station;however, RMU is mainly used for getting and reporting RMU running parameter.Theserver is used for transiting parameters and remote command of RMU. The controlstations is used to monitor the operation of real-time display The RMU runningreal-time monitoring and the ring network cabinet failure warning is achieved by thethree modules work together.This thesis analyzes functional requirements of this system, and the system candata transmission conveniently based on udp protocol. The way of embedded is used toprogram design in the RMU data acquisition terminal. In order to reporting monitoringparameters, on the server side, sqlserver2005transit database is used to storage andtransit monitoring parameters. It use MAPX component to load the map in themonitoring station, and to graphical display the location of the ring counter. The sametimes, it is to improve development efficiency with C#programming. It is achievedoperational status of the ring counter for monitoring and fault warning through testingand demonstration lab environment. It is alse can delivering a remote command issued,implementation and results of feedback and other functions, to further the foundation inengineering applications. The network administrator can control the system by Internet, and this method isvery efficient. At the same time, it will pose inevitably a potential security problem. Dueto time and space reasons, this part does not in-depth discussion in this article and it isthe next step.
