Condition monitoring service of distribution network is an important application part of the power distribution internet of things(PD-IoT).However,the fraction of coverage of the on-line monitoring function is not high because of the limitation of the communication technology,which seriously affects the application level of PD-IoT.Therefore,it is of great significance for supporting the automation,informatization and intelligent development of distribution network to carry out the further research on the application of new IoT technology in condition monitoring service.Low power wide area network(LPWAN)is an innovative communication technology for IoT applications,which provides a brand-new idea for the service mentioned above.In view of this,the main work of this paper is as follows.(1)This paper investigates the existing problems and application requirements of previous electric power IoT demonstration project,analyzing the service requirements combined with overall service system and communication structure of the PD-IoT.(2)According to the communication protocol and information model of PD-IoT,the characteristics of the service data are analyzed and the statistical description is carried out in this paper,then proposing a communication bandwidth prediction method based on the G/M/1/N queue model,and analyzing the communication bandwidth requirement combined with the specific service of distribution network.(3)Combined with the communication requirements,this paper analyzes the application choice of LPWAN,focusing on the narrow band IoT(NB-IoT)and its key technologies.And next,this paper carries on the wireless network planning research according to the typical application scenario,finally verifies the communication performance of NB-IoT by simulation.This paper follows the general design principle of PD-IoT and the actual demand of the service,carrying out research on communication bandwidth prediction and the application of the NB-IoT.It is of great significance to improve the quality of communication,optimize the rational allocation of resources,and ensure the rationality and science in the aspect of traffic measurement and technical system selection.
