Along with the university campus network and scale of the rapid expansion of thenetwork, P2P download, streaming online video and other kinds of P2P applications,occupy a large amount of bandwidth resources, leading to congestion problems havebecome increasingly serious. In the absence of control and effective management of theprocess, bandwidth is often malicious, non-critical applications occupied; most of thenormal user network applications but can not guarantee that. Therefore, the network trafficcontrol system development and deployment, imminent.The deployment and use of MRTG traffic monitoring system, implementation ofcampus network convergence layer and double outlet (Unicom network outlet andeducation net exports) real-time traffic monitoring. Analysis and troubleshooting fornetwork management to provide a strong basis for making effective control strategies, toprovide a strong reference.The deployment and use of Panabit traffic monitoring system, in order to " givepriority to ensuring the user class HTTP network application, limitation of P2P application" for the principle, flow control strategy. Through the analysis of campus net user flowcharacteristics of application, reasonable differentiate the classes of users, effectivelysolves the outlet of campus network network network congestion problem. Such as remotedesktop, network rubbish bag, syn-fooding some risk of network applications areprohibited; give priority to ensuring the campus network stations, office automation,management and other key network application; further normative each department room,the office owned by small routing internet sharing and network in multimedia classroomteaching of Internet behavior management, further easing campus network public networkexport and export of public computer room network total bandwidth contentionpreemption problems, improve network management initiative and bandwidth efficiency.
