The leakage of water pipe network waste a lot of water resources, which is not only a waste of resources and economic losses, but also brought a number of secondary disasters. So we need to strengthen the leak detection of the pipe network, with the new technologies and equipment, we could local the leak timely and decrease the leakage rate of pipe network. Collecting and analyzing the signal of the leakage sound is an effective method. The subject study the acquisition and enlargement of leaking sound and the implementation of digital filtering, focus on how to use DSP technology to digitize the leaking signals, thus achieve a DSP-based digital leakage detection system.The paper describes the causes of the signal of the leakage sound at first, then analysis its character deeply, therefore, proposes the leakage detection systems, the core of which is the DSP, then discusses how it works and its implementation. On the hardware system, we choice the DSP and MCU engine dsPIC30f6014chip on the platform, according to the needs of task to design the peripheral circuits, which including power supply circuit, time circuit, A/D audio data acquisition circuit, LCD display output circuit and the audio codec module circuit and so on. At the end, we completed the implement of the hardware of digital leakage detection system. In software programming, the paper describe Fast Fourier Transform algorithm and the design of the digital filtering while digitize the leaking sound signals in the DSP chip. The main program of the DSP digital leakage detection system based on the graphics SIMULINK environment to establish the processing model. Using SIMLINK to develop products is more convenient than programming in MPLAB directly. And it improves efficiency and shortens the development cycle. At first, simulate in the SIMNLINK platform. then use DSP toolbox to transform the designing model into C30source file and debug, download to the target board in MPLAB IDE, which to complete the system design.Finally, the hardware and software of the digital leakage detection system meets the requirement for accurate positioning of the leaking pipe, which achieved the designing goal. The subject mainly focuses on the specific applications in research and development. The implement of the subject provides a theoretical basis for the leakage detector, which filed with a wide range of practical application value.
