Ad Hoc networks have no fixed infrastructure or central administration, and each wireless node can communicate via either direct wireless link or multihop wireless links through a sequence of intermediate nodes. In the Ad Hoc network, nodes move arbitrarily, thus inevitably resulting in making the network topology change frequently and unpredictably. Moreover, for the channel bandwidth and battery power are limited by the hardware, the huge number of nodes and low processing ability, etc, these features make the Ad Hoc network protocols need to be specially designed. In the traditional protocol of Ad Hoc networks, usually by using one optimal route for data transmission, wireless nodes for packet operation are limited by the function of storing and forwarding, which reduces the overall network performance. Proposed in recent years, multi-path routing protocols can effectively balance the network load by forwarding data through Multipath at the same time. The latest network coding can upgrade the transfer rate up to a maximum flow of the network, by adding the information encoded into the node operation. This paper designs a new protocal named RNC-AOMDV by adding random network coding algorithm on the base of AOMDV. In this paper, several important parameters have been proposed and derived reasonable values by the formula. Some algorithms have been added into the protocol’s pathfinding mechanism to get the value of routes’ reliability, in order to select some routes to meet certain conditions and distribute corresponding a number of data. On this basis, adding a certain number of redundant slices not only to ensure the balance of the roads’ load, but also to guarantee the successful rate of packet decoding. This paper adds the RNC-AOMDV protocol into NS2and uses this network simulation tool to compare the RNC-AOMDV protocol with AOMDV protocol under the case of different node transmission rate and moving speed. Five random network topology for simulation to obtain the two protocols average end are used to obtain the two protocols. The result show that, the RNC-AOMDV protocol can effectively improve the network throughput and reduce the link transmission delay.
