Ad Hoc network is a kind of wireless communication networks consisting of mobile nodes with self-organization, which has been drawn extensive attention of communication department. However, Ad Hoc network is a non-central, self-organization network that is different from fixed cable network and traditional wireless network, which makes Ad Hoc Networks into a series of technical problems. The Routing Protocol is not only an important indication to evaluate performance of Ad Hoc Network. but also one of the key technologies to implement Ad Hoc Networks. Thus, there's great significance to research on routing protocols of Ad Hoc network.Multi-path routing has many advantages such as enhancing the ability of fault-tolerant and providing load balancing, reducing the transmission delay and aggregating bandwidth, but it will produce―routing coupling‖problems when sending data through multi-path. A new model of correlation factor has been constructed, via introducing the concept of―correlation factor‖which is strong scalability. And then a new multi-path routing protocol AOMDV-LR has been proposed based on AOMDV protocol. The main work and achievements are summarized as follows:1. The Ad Hoc network has been researched deeply, including characteristics, system structure and performance. Discuss and analyse the classical protocols of Ad Hoc network such as DSDV, NOAH, WRP, DSR and AODV etc., which provides a solid theory for setting up a new multi-path routing protocol.2. The problem of―routing coupling‖has been produced during implementing multi-path routing protocol. A novel model with node related factor has been introduced based on the concept of―correlation factor‖, which brings forward the consideration of related factor to routing request process, and then computes the related factor of intermediate nodes using routing request information in order to get the minimum disjoint path.3. Since the problems of the shortage of operational mechanism in AOMDV and great interference between selected paths, an optimal node-disjoint multipath routing protocol AOMDV-LR has been brought forward. The routing protocol improves the data structure and operation mechanism of AOMDV, combining with the novel model of node correlation factor in the routing request process, in order to transmit data packets in multiple paths and reduce the affection of interference.4. Finally, make a summary of the overall paper and put forward some prospects of further study in the multi-path routing protocol.
