Remote monitoring technology recently is experiencing vigorous development with the computer technologies becoming prevailed. Nonetheless, the intense trend of equipment discretization makes it unable to meet the need of industrialization. Thus, distributed monitoring system emerges. Based on the computer network, the system can legitimately distribute resourses and improve the effeciency greatly. The fact is that most of the comtemporary distributed system are deployed in LAN, which is constrained by the area. Consequently, this paper proposes a novel "C/S" and "B/S" hybrid framework to build the system and applies it to exchange data and visualize form and position error.This paper firstly dipicts features of "C/S" and "B/S" framework by using comparation analysis method and also designs a basic proposal of hybrid framework for studying form and position error.The monitoring system functionally consists of LAN and WAN part considering the tasks of this paper.The LAN part uses C/S framework. The client and server application within the LAN is programmed by Labwindows/CVI and TCP/IP protocol is used to transmmit data from client to server. Data received in the server are displayed in graph control and stored in Access database file, which can be managed by database management tool; The WAN part uses B/S framework. ActiveX controls are designed in VB6.0to embed the server panel onto the webpage of ASP.NET monitoring site.The error data are transmitted by DataSocket technology from server to the webpage panel and then displayed in the ActiveX control of VB6.0. The ASP.NET monitoring site, as a platform, includes login module, monitoring module, data searching modul, error learning module and so on. Web databases for user information and monitoring data are created to secure website safty and manage error data on the webpage.This system with hybrid framework utilizes multiple network technologies to bring error data from industrial field to remote panel in the browser. The aim to monitor error data remotely is basically realized. The whole paper makes a deep research in the technology of remote monitoring. It rightly combines form and position error with remote monitoring technology so as to lighten the outlook of future development.
