On the condition of today’s intense competition, in order to gain the market predominance, foundry enterprises must combine all kinds of the resources, up grade the management level etc. As a good management ideas and a good combination of advanced information technology, ERP has become a favorable management tool to the reform of traditional manufacturing. Through implement ERP systems in the foundry business, you can build a more effective corporate management system and enhance the overall competitiveness of foundry enterprise.This paper design a set produetion management system based on B/S architecture, under the theoretical guidance of ERP, and the needs and problems in production management of LG Electronic (QHD) foundry’s workshop.Firstly, designs the production management system generally, which includes requirement analysis, conceptual design, system structure and function design. In the requirement analysis, this paper analyzes the main business process of the casting enterprises, and then draws the business process diagrams and the data flow diagrams. In the conceptual design, this paper also translates the information collected in the requirement analysis into the Entity-Relationship Diagrams. Divides the system into sales management, production management, purchasing management, inventory management, and system maintenance module, based on the needs of management.Then, detailed analysis and design how to formulate production planning under the plan management theory of ERP. This paper has put more efforts into the study of the algorithms of MPS and MRP, and considered much information such as storage status, workshop produce, product batch, and BOM. Brings forward a method to set dynamic Lead Time combining the characteristics of castings in the setting of the lead time of MRP.Finally, describes the code design and database design of the system briefly, and introduces the main function interface of the system.The system bases on the B/S architecture, using SQL Server2000as the background database, and using ASP technology to design function interface of the system. The implementation of this system will facilitate the modernization of production management, improve the market competitiveness of the enterprises, and lay the foundation for the implementation of the whole ERP system in the future.
