With the rapid development of information technology, computer is applied more and more extensively in the enterprise management. Use of computer-based enterprise marketing management information is imperative. Shenyang Lianyin Economic and Trade Co. Ltd mainly engages in steel production, processing and marketing business. Its cargo sales information processing is manual and thus inefficient, which is not suitable for mass production, modern logistics and distribution. So the information management system, which can digitize the company’s business information collection, processing, transmission and preservation, is necessary for the company to improve the management level and working efficiency.Based on the current status and characteristic of the company’s business as well as the requirements of the business informatization, a sales management information system, which is designed by Delphi object-oriented software development tools, uses SQL Server2000as a database platform and C/S mode architecture. The system is used for sales management, procurement management, inventory management, customer management and system management. Sales and procurement managements primarily collect storage and process the related information of sales and procurement business. Inventory management is mainly used for cargo storage management including setting, deleting of product information and stock alarming. Customer management is primarily used for administrators to query the basic information of Ltd. in conjunction with suppliers and buyers within specified period of time, which includes customer information’s inquiring, adding, modifying, deleting, the business loan payment and carrying over. System management is primarily used for the operation of the user information management, user authority settings, and system maintenance.
