The application of computer bus in automatic test system has become a significantdevelopment tendency in the field of testing. The main task of this subject is to realizethe solution for communication interfaces of USB, LAN and GPIB, as well as theUSB-GPIB and LAN-GPIB interface conversion on this based.In this thesis, firstly the communication processes of the three buses of USB, LANand GPIB are described briefly, the emphasized study is focused on the keytechnologies of the communication interfaces’ realization, such as the USB deviceenumeration, the TCP/IP network model, the GPIB interface functions and so on. Basedon the theory research, the hardware and software design proposals for the system aredeveloped. In hardware circuit design, the hardware circuit based on MSP430F5438asthe host controller and constituted of the interface chips of PDIUSBD12, CS8900A andTMS9914is build and debugged. In software design, on the basis of the implementationof data communication, the protocol conversion is realized. PC program development isnot the point and the NI simple-to-use application routine is chosen to send SCPIcommands to the GPIB device to complete the system functional test.The topic provides a feasible and reliable solution for the interface conversion ofUSB-GPIB and LAN-GPIB, and it is of great practical significance.
