With the coming of post-PC era, embedded devices have been gradually integratedinto people’s lives. Also as the development of our information society, the demand ofinformation and resources sharing between embedded devices is becoming muchstronger. At the same time, Bluetooth technology, with its low-power, low cost, stronganti-interference, high mobility, flexible networking and so on, has been more widelyused on embedded devices. So an information sharing system based on embeddedplatform and Bluetooth technology is designed and implemented in this paper.After a deep research on Bluetooth networking and Bluetooth Link ManagerProtocol, a Bluetooth LAN networking mode based on Bluetooth piconet and parkedmode is proposed. All devices within the network have equal status and any of them caninitiate connections to others as the master to establish a Bluetooth piconet with thecenter of itself. As the parked mode is supported, seven active slaves and multipleparked slaves are allowed to establish and remain connections between the master; alsothe active slaves and the parked slaves can be switched rapidly at any time. WithOK6410ARM11development board as the hardware platform and embedded Linuxoperating system as the software platform, the Bluetooth network mentioned above isachieved, which provide a physical basis for the information sharing of all the deviceswithin the network. After a deep research on Bluetooth serial port profile,data and filetransmission in both point to point way and point to multipoint way are achieved, whichmakes the information sharing of devices within the network come true. Based on thestudy of audio programming in Linux operating system, the recording and playback isachieved, and combined with the Bluetooth network mentioned above, the Bluetoothvoice short message is realized. At the same time, the GPS information sharing function,which allows the local device to show the GPS information of others within the networkin real time, is designed and realized in three embedded devices. A visual graphical userinterface is provided, which allows users to perform various operations in a simple andconvenient way.The experiments show that the system can achieve the desired results.TheBluetooth networking is simple and convenient and the link is stable; the averagetransmission rate of data and file can up to1.1Mbps; the recording of voice messeage isof good quality and the playback is clear; the GPS information sharing is real-time and the time difference between different devices is limited in one second.
