With the increasing popularity of world’s3G networks, and the development of wireless broadband access technology, operators through the Wi-Fi and3G technology provide Internet access services for subscriber. The number of3G terminal subscribers continues to maintain rapid and stable growth trend, has become one of major mobile communications market driven forces. In3G era, the rapid development of mobile Internet and IP based networks of mobile operators, to become the core power of leading mobile broadband terminal development.Firstly, this thesis introduces3G and Wi-Fi technology. Wi-Fi and3G have different characteristics:3G access mode allows the users to achieve business needs any time and any where, but the bandwidth resources are limited; however Wi-Fi technology can be used as the supplementary of fixed network and3G network. And it can make network more flexible and provide high bandwidth. Then, analyzes the meaning of computer software according to Wi-Fi and3G development trend, and build the overall framework of terminal system software according to requirements analysis, describes the system architecture and hierarchy, module partition. The whole system adopts layer architecture and different hierarchy achieves its corresponding function. During which focuses on AT command module design, how to use the AT command to send messages between PC and mobile terminals. This implementation method has the characteristics of high flexibility and easy to extend. The thesis statements the remote access service (RAS) connection manager module design and function implementation. Finally the thesis statements how Dual-Mode Wireless Network Card to select an appropriate wireless network(Wi-Fi or3G) for users to connect internet with, analysis of user requirement, then proposed the solution, and function implementation. This solution fully taking the actual needs of users into account, personalize design and performance optimization.At present, the project has been completed, tested and put into the market, provided to many operators, and the market reaction is good.
