Wireless Sensor Networks combine sensor technology, wireless communicationtechnology, network technology and distributed information processing technology. Inthe international arena, it is considered to be the second largest network after theInternet and has a profound impact on human life and production in the future emergingtechnologies. WSN is mainly processing the information of human and objects. Becauseit can build a dynamic network rapidly with high reliability, recently, a large number ofend devices and facilities of Internet of Things are used in WSN.This paper designed a wireless sensor network hardware platform base on TMOTE,using Protel2004to draw the schematic and PCB documents and produce out the motes.Then, check the function and performance of the motes. The main tasks includes thefrequency and RF power of wireless module, date of the sensor and the programmingand debug function of the USB module. After that, run route protocol on the motesbased on TinyOS.Wireless sensor networks have a wide range of application. In view of theconditions of their hardware and platform differences, whether it is to build a newnetwork, upgrade of existing networks or test new protocols, we need to assessment thenetwork reliability and validity of the networks, in order to reduce the risk of investmentin network construction. This paper use OPNET simulation platform for wireless sensormodeling, the main function modules include power supply module, the MAC module,the network layer module. The core parts are the MAC layer and network layer module.The MAC layer module implements the Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Avoid Collisionfunction. The network layer is responsible for data stream processing and routingprotocols.With the extensive application of Wireless Sensor Networks, its security andreliability are paid more attentions. This paper focuses on analysis and research on thenetwork layer security of Wireless Sensor Networks, flooding attacks and black holeattacks and analysis wormhole attacks theoretically. In the flooding attacks, the floodingof data packets have a certain impact on the network performance decreasing rapidlywith the number of attack nodes increasing, mainly on route speed and collisionavoidance process. As time goes by the network congestion, packet loss is more serious.In the black hole attacks, there are several attack nodes in the network, respectively. Thenumber of network packet loss and packet loss rate is increasing with the increase of thenumber of black hole attack nodes. Wormhole attack can seriously affect the networks of the kinds based on minimum delay and the shortest path. This paper analysis of thescene of a circular network with radius R, containing a large number of randomuniformly distributed nodes. The nodes use omni-directional antenna and cover a radiusof T. The distance between two adjacent nodes is less than or equal to T. It is showedthat a wormhole attack can destroy up to32%of all network traffic. Finally, the wirelessnetwork security precautions are discussed, and have a certain reference value forWireless Sensor Networks.
