The enhancements in computer hardware and software have offered r a wide rangeof support for the embedded distributed software applications. However, manyproblems, such as the occurrence of "uncertainty" during the running of distributedsoftware and the difficulties in operating many distributed nodes simultaneously, existin the development and debugging of distributed software. In the integrated debuggingof distributed software, the developer mainly focused on the debugging of softwarelogics and architecture design in the macroscopic level while the traditional debuggingtechniques and tools cannot meet such requirements as in integrated debugging ofdistributed software. However, the event-based debugging methods can fulfill thoserequirements by thinking about the execution of software as a procedure of producingevents and raising the debugging level to event level.An event-based integrated debugging framework for embedded distributedsoftware is proposed after studying and analyzing the characteristics of andrequirements on the integrated debugging of such software. Firstly, the framework isset up together with its architecture and working procedure. Secondly, Emphases areput on the Implementation Mechanisms and strategies of some core modules in theintegrated debugging framework while the design and implement of some modules arealso given in this paper. And finally, applications are used in the integrated debuggingof airborne distributed software with the debugging tools designed based on the aboveframework, also, the feasibility of the proposed framework and methods are verifiedvia analyzing and studying of the experimental results.
