The embedded distributed software has the characteristics of the realtime, thedistributedcalcalation units and so on. The traditional serial debugging method andtechnology has trouble applying to the debug of this software. It is an important problemto design and implement an effective debugging method according to the softwarefeatures. Problens such as the uncertainty and the probe effect exist in the embeddeddistributed software. Be sure to record the running information completely, we have tocause a mass of information which is hard to be understood. However, we can make iteasy to be understood by users through adopting the event model to express the runtimebehavior of the software which can improve the abstract degree. The model was appliedto collect the runtime information to realize the extraction analysis and display of theeffective information is a feasible way to solve the problem that is we can not easy tomonitor and understand the behavior of the embedded distributed software. This paper based on studing the characteristics of the embedded distributedsoftware, presented a method based on the event model to collect and analysis theruntime information in order to facilitate the users to understand and master the programexecution behavior deeply. Fistly, an event-based embedded distributed debuggingframework and the debugging process have been given in this paper. Secondly, wefocous on explain the runtime information collection strategies and analysis method. Inparticular, the paper points out the strategy of the inserted pile and the analysis methodsof the communication and the fault relationship acording to the characteristics of thisfield. Thirdly, we implement a information processing tool based on the event model forthe embedded distributed software debugging At last, the tool has been applied inintegrated avionics system distributed onboard-software field. Through the experimentsand the researchs we verified the strategies and the methods put forward are accuracyand effucuency.
