Research Of Event-based Distributed Debugging Approach And Monitoring Strategy

Along with the development of network technology, a distributed system has beenwidely used，However the interactive distributed debugging cause many problems suchas the distributed program’s "non-deterministic" and the "probe effect ", therefore thetraditional serial debugging method not suitable for distributed debugging. Andevent-based distributed debugging technical peculiar "monitor-replay" debuggingmethod make the distributed program bugs reappearance, reduce the "probe effect"caused by the debug tool in distributed program, show the advantage in distributeddebugging technical studies.This paper studies the event-based distributed debugging technology. Firstly, basedon the analysis of characteristics of distributed software and debugging requirementsanalysis, an event-based debugging framework and the debugging process have beengiven. Secondly this paper deeply studies event-based monitoring strategy and dynamicanalysis method, focus on the method of the checkpoint setting, the judgment andsolution of domino messages and dependencies set in monitoring process. This paperput forward a variety of dynamic analysis logical views to assist user debugging. Finallyevent-based distributed debugging monitoring strategy and dynamic analysistechnology have been realized.The distributed debugging tool has been applied in integrated avionics systemdistributed onboard-software field. Besides the research and analysis of experimentalresults verify the feasibility of the monitoring strategy and dynamic analysis methodproved in the paper.
