The research of microfluidic CTC chip has great potential in earlydiagnosis of cancer, treatment tracking and cancer monitoring. It is expectedto provide a relatively low-cost, convenient and efficient solution for cancersurveillance. Besides, this research will promote the cancer preventiondevelopment in clinical application. As image processing and deviceautomation have been introduced to the study of CTC chip, these technologieswill reduce more of the CTC chip cost and improve cacer monitoringefficiency.Based on the microfluidic CTC chip made of MEMS technique, this paperproposed an image processing method focused on CTC chip test imagesanalysis. With the reference of COMSOL simulation results, this practicesupplemented the entire chip verification process. Also, the paper developedan automated electric platform which aimed to smooth chip image acquisition.The topics of this dissertation included as follows:1. Discussed the importance of cancer prevention and treatment.Summarized the current domestic and international development ofvariety of CTC detection technologies and microfluidic CTC chipresearch development.2. Introduced the theory of image analysis, and on the basis of COMSOLsimulation, further discussed the correctness of chip design theory and chip fabrication result with quantitative data after image analysis.Compared small beads capturing effectiveness and differences of fourdifferent shapes of micro-columns by referencing image analysis data.Discovered abnormal phenomenon in chip testing and would take it asfuture study object. Besides, described the application potential ofvideo analysis in chip analysis.3. Further processed cancer cell capturing pictures and realizedautomatic cell counting, which were achieved by detailed imageanalysis and step by step testing. All processes were discussedcarefully in paper, and the result matched the preset goal.4. Designed the two-dimensional electric platform, which deployedArduino board, stepper motors, motor drive, Adobe Air and laptop tostructure a PC controllable image acquisition system.This paper tried to integrate the whole process of CTC chip testing, CTCchip capturing result acquisition and data analysis as a system. And his worklaid a foundation for further studies.
