The Research On Shanghai TV Civic Journalism Producing

NEWS CORNOR is a typical sample of TV civic journalism inShanghai. This dissertation analyzed three aspects including newsroomorganizational structure, production process and operation mechanism bythe methods of archive research, in-depth interviews and text analysis withthe theories of journalism, communication and management. The briefconclusion is as follows: In the production framework, NEWS CORNORhas experienced four stages, including the initial period that relied oninternet resources, the transitional period that included feeds from districtTV stations, the flourishing period with news networks supported bydistricts and administration organizations and the improving period ofcross connection journalism. This research analyzed ten years’ text ofNEWS CORNOR, conducted in-depth interviews and analyzed a case ofCITY TOUR. It is found that in the production process, NEWS CORNORcarefully prepared, especially focused on coordinating beforehand, editingon mature mechanism and precipitating the talking style. NEWSCORNOR is also rich in content of civic and community life. In order toguarantee the qualification of news collecting and editing, it has built the information communication, editing mechanism and platform. In addition,through the quantitative incentive scheme which to inspire every kind ofwork, the qualification of the program could be pledged generally.The research also found out that after ten years, NEWS CORNOR isfacing the problems of repeating subjects, different production qualityfrom different districts, quantity-preferred assessment tendency, etc. Theresearch suggests that NEWS CORNOR is supposed to strengthen thestrategy planning, the building of information platform, enhance the stafftraining and perfect the assessment mechanism.
