Study On The News Production Mode Of Provincial TV Stations

It has been sixty years that broadcasting media started. It is believed that television has become a powerful mass media. The daily life of Chinese people has been deeply influenced by the golden time of broadcasting media in China. It is also demonstrated that the research of Chinese broadcasting industry should be discussed. The author argue that the most obvious characteristic of Chinese broadcasting industry is Four Level Television Stations, which means there are national level, provincial level, city level and county level television stations in China. The provincial level television stations are discussed as research sample of this thesis. The news programs are the most important program among all the television programs. However, political reasons could easily influence the producing process of news. The broadcasting industry has experienced a increasingly intense competition since the2000s due to the introduction of market economy in broadcasting industry. The development of Anhui Television Station will be explained in the following thesis as three parts.In the1960s, western television began to tend to specialization, the management model united with channels began to form, at the same time, the concept system was produced. The news program is the most important program among all the television programs. However, political reasons could easily influence the producing process of news. As a kind of flat management mode, Channel system use the management of "reception-desk-channel-column" instead of the "reception-desk-centrality-department-section-column" one. As the trend of television management mode, channel system has been applied in the domestic numerous provincial TV. As an important part of the provincial satellite TV, Anhui TV is improving and reforming continuously. At present, Anhui TV owns12channels,3of them engage in news production, they are the Satellite TV channel, Anhui economic life channel, and Public channel. Then what is the difference between TV channels and channels on the ground during the news production? As the two flourishing ground channels, what is the difference of the news production mode between the economic life channel and public channel? Besides the three channels, there are other channels producing a few news columns. And what characteristics does the production of these columns have? This text will try to answer the above questions, analysis the varied news production modes showed by Anhui TV, and explore the internal cause of these patterns.The Chinese provincial TVs, under the dual control of political factors and the market competition, are products of alienation. Their management mechanisms, administrative structures and so on show a complex situation. Anhui TV station is still in a state of "business units and enterprise management". With the deepening of marketization, Anhui TV is gradually restructuring. However, during the reforming of the personnel system, the institution of "old methods and new methods" brings the staff employment form diversified. The phenomenon of unequal treatment is common. This kind of reform with internal difference reacts in the specific news practice directly. The influential factors of the production of news programs, including the political factors, marketing factors as well as other internal factors, will be explained in the thesis.
