In recent years, with a variety of electronic equipment widely used invarious fields, people on the network is getting higher and higher qualityrequirements, because PFC technique can reduce the harmonic pollution inthe power grid, improve power efficiency and become a research hotspot inthe field of power electronics, which, through the PFC chip control of activePFC is opposite to the traditional passive PFC compared to control there aresmall volume, light weight, wide input voltage range, high power factor, andbecome the main research direction.Active power factor via a main control chip, along with the rapiddevelopment of integrated circuit technology, according to the different wayof the PFC control chip continuously, at present, the major foreigncompanies to PFC technology research and application of lead, therefore,the PFC control chip research and development more and more important.In this paper, the design work from the company’s products, Firstly, theresearch background PFC and the domestic and foreign PFC were described,through the outline on the basic principle of PFC analysis, for the realizationof PFC including passive and active PFC principle, classification andadvantages and disadvantages for the analysis, put forward the design of thePFC chip is based on the critical conduction mode active type BOOST PFCchip, through the application of APFC system working principle research,with reference to foreign law theories such as semiconductor, Fairchild,companies such as A Morimi PFC circuit, PFC circuit according to theactual application requirements and cost angle consideration, the whole PFCchip module and a circuit according to the function and performancerequirement are divided and classified, reference the domestic and foreignpresent the technical index of the product as well as the actual customer demand, put forward the whole circuit design, each module designaccording to the index for design and analysis, at the same time throughHSPICE software to various modules and the whole circuit simulation,complete the circuit design, the layout design, to the publication of some ofthe basic design rules and design experience, and from the angle of theanalog circuit layout design put forward some design requirements, Finally,the whole layout, in the chip, after coming back, the chip is the electricalparameters, the overall application, wafer testing and production test andother aspects of the chips are tested and verified.In this design, in order to ensure the safety of power system, drivingpart of the circuit from the application reliability and reduce chip computerefficiency and other aspects, this paper puts forward a new protective circuit,in order to improve chip production consistency, the overvoltage protectioncircuit, presented by trimming the overvoltage protection circuit to improvethe current chip over-voltage protection point of consistency, at the sametime, the chip during testing the test yield and low problem, the chiptrimming testing scheme and proposed a new scheme of testing, improve thetesting of the chip yield.The chip design is in a domestic factory BICMOS process to achieve,through evaluation, the chip market to meet the basic requirements ofextension.
