From the form of current rapid economic development view, coal demanding continues togrow, and the coal industry safety requirements are also rising, while the mine environment isextremely complex and unstable, according to the frequent occurrence of accidents, which nodoubt about taking greater challenge to the coal mines safety producing. The research ofdetector under the multi-parameter can monitor mine real-time environment, early responsefor the dangerous situation, and inform the related staff promptly, so that preventive measuresto reduce the incidence of accidents, and make the production more secure.In this context, the issue presents a multi-parameter detector based FPGA-core chip, theexternal gas sensors and A/D converter, and also studies many data processing methods,including the theory of signal acquisition, environmental compensation for the gasconcentration, the explosion triangle to determine the application for the alarm, besidesthat,it also completes the main device selection, device structure instruction and relatedtiming process analysis.The overall design of the system is divided into three parts,.firstly,the data of front collection, using the relevant sensors to collect the gas concentration,temperature and humidity and so on into electrical signals, through co nditioning circuit andA/D converter into the digital signal that main chip can handle; then the data processing part,signal collected by the front section, make temperature and humidity compensation algorithmprocessing for the gas concentration and within the FPGA, of which buffer storage by callingdual-port RAM’s IP core to achieve, and the use two RAM consist of ping-pong buffermodule operation, to ensure seamless data transfer; Finally, the data end processing module,including the using LCD display to tell measurement results and sound and light alarm thedata exceeds the threshold value. This several parts achieved through the softwareprogramming to control the timing.FPGA is the timing control center of the entire system, itproduces a different clock signal, to ensure the normal operation of every module, and controlA/D converter multi-channel sampling and LCD displaying through achieving timing control.This paper completed the module design of data collection, storage, display and everymodule’s software programming. And also make the functional simulation for some modules,verifying the function meets the system requirements. Because the detector is a portable, low-power devices, therefore, the selection of the device special attention to low-powerdesign.The subject also introduce the temperature and humidity compensation algorithm, itcan readily perceive and adjust for the impact test results, make instrumentation moreintelligent, take the multi-parameter data acquisition used in the coal mine environmentmonitoring is the main features of the subject.
