Computer simulation technology is playing an increasing role in the design anddevelopment of electric vehicle. It can simulate kinds of combination scheme before thevehicle design scheme is determined, which can make a scientific assessment on feasibilityefficiently and rapidly. The evaluation cycle of the new schema can be greatly shortened toreduce the R&D cost as well as promote the development of electric vehicle technologyeffectively. By referring to the merits of electric vehicle simulation software and combiningwith the software engineering theory, a set of electrical vehicle simulation software withcharacteristics of user operation centered, strong interactive, easy to expand and transplant isdeveloped in this paper. This software can meet the need of the simulation in the process ofelectric vehicle research and development, and can be used for the related R&D of electricvehicle simulation and the teaching work. Specifically, the main work of this dissertation canbe summarized as follows:(1) A set of electric vehicle simulation software based on C/S structure is designed andimplemented. The software using the method of Matlab engine agency based on TCPprotocol, carries out the data sharing and interaction among Matlab, the server program andthe client program, as well as provides a flexible, stable data support for the data use andmaintenance.(2) The data storage method of vehicle model based on XML files is designed andimplemented. Because of the software independence, the XML files greatly reduce thecoupling between data model and realization in the software. It can effectively solve thehierarchy organization relationship among large quantities of data in the vehicle model, andmake the data search and positioning more efficient.(3) In order to meet the needs of different users’ viewing habits and requirements, thesoftware provides two kind of animation representation way for the vehicle simulationprocess. By the rich media method, the animation representation based on XNA techniqueprovides a variety of intuitive way for users to deepen the understanding level of thesimulation process.(4) By using the same vehicle design scheme, a comparative study on the simulationresult is implemented respectively in Vehlab and ADVISOR2002. The result shows that thecorrectness and reliability of the simulation software is trustworthy to be applied to studyingand research work.
