The Research Emergency Control System User Interface Design

As a result of the information revolution, the information technology penetrates in everypart of the world such as military, home life, work management and so on. The development ofInformation Communications Industry has been an important standard to judge the military’smodernization and internationalization degrees of a country. And the efficiency of the StateGovernment and Department of Public Safety are highly relied on the informationization degreeof the country. As an essential part of the Emergency Management Software, the interfacesdirectly contacts with operators, which determine the efficiency and results of the emergencymanagements. However, in the information industry, Software Develop Companies are merelyfocused on the technologies considering little about the operator’s habits, which makes thesesoftware difficult to use and causes the operator fatigue, mistaking and inefficient.To change this situation, the user research, interaction design and visual design methods areintroduced in the design of the interfaces in this thesis, which searching the contemporary designmethods and find a way to improve the interface design theory.The goal and meaning of this thesis are analyzed, though the study of importance of theinterfaces research and the analysis of the interface functions. The user property model, userthinking model and user interaction model are founded, and present problems are obtainedthough the analysis of the foundation of user oriented interfaces, and the analysis of the otherfactors affecting the interfaces. The interface design concepts and theories are concluded thoughthe analysis of the processes of the practical design based on interface visual design and the needof emergency software. Finally, though classifying the factors affecting the operating process,the availability of the design is tested, using the Q-and-A papers. And the results are collected toimprove the designs. In this way, the meaning of the method mentioned in this thesis is proven,which provides research experience and idea for others.
