Design And Implementation Of Charging And Management System For Cable Television Based On GSM

With the rapid development of the cable TV career, pay TV business develops rapidlyin our country, the number of users is also increasing. However, the problem thatsubscription fees is difficult to collect is more and more prominent, the operatingcompanies often need to pay much manpower and money to collect fees. In addition,setting up a computer room in the remote and poor rural areas is very difficult because ofthe scattered users and needs to invest a lot of funds. This paper has designed andimplemented a charging and management system for cable television based on GSM.This paper first gives the whole plan of the system and carries out the analysis anddemonstration, it then makes a specific design of the MCU message processing moduleand each functional module of management software such as system maintenance, systemsettings, business management, equipment management, query statistics and system help,which are programmed to implement the design. The system uses TC35I module as awireless data transmission medium to access GSM network, it could implement thetwo-way communication between the control center and the wild-type data modulator, soit could complete the remote control of users’ descramblers. The application in computerworks in the C/S structure, using Powerbuilder as the software development tool and usingSQL Server as the database; management software uses MSCOMM control to implementserial communication between the application and TC35I module.Finally, the stability and main functions of the system such as operator privileges,SMS sending, automatic control and database backup are tested, test results show that themanagement system has a stable performance and meets the functional requirements.
