As the development of mobile communication technology, the Wireless Network hasbecome more and more complex. Especially, it is between2G and3G today. There existsboth2G network and3G network, which increase the difficulty of network optimization tosome extent. Therefore, how to improve the efficiency and quality of optimization of thewireless network, has become a major urgent matter of the mobile operators. From thatstandpoint, a GIS-based system for wireless network optimization has been proposed. Itreads Road Test Data and Scanner Data, analyze both of them, and show the result on themap. The system uses MFC as the basic framework, which was developed by Microsoft.Wechoose VC++and MapX as development environment. According to the softwareengineering methods, at first we do a system needs analysis, general design principles, andperformance requirements. Then the overall architecture of system and the computingprocess. The whole system is divided into five modules, which are data import module, project management module, layers management module, scene analysis module, optimization module. First, the detailed design of these seven modules was done. Amongthem, the processing of the Road Test data and Scanner Data is a key part of thesystem.Therefor,in the part of the algorithm, we focus on describing the road testalgorithm and the scanner algorithm. In the scene analysis module, we focus on describingthe scene of road test and scanner. Then we design the database. Finally,we design thefive modules in detail. The system uses Geographic Information System, which improves the operability ofthe system, and make it user-friendly operation.
