Doppler Radar Speed Measurement System Design And Signal Processing Method Research

With the development of Chinese transportation industry and six times speeding up,the train is running faster and faster. There are some deficiencies in the traditionalmethods of speed measurement, further a radar sensor of speed measurement based onthe principle of Doppler is designed in this thesis. It can accurate measure the speed,mileage, direction of the rail transiting vehicles, and has strong anti-interference ability.The research on Doppler radar signal processing is focused on in the thesis. Typicalalgorithms of power spectral estimation and modern algorithm of power spectralestimation are studied in detail, and the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithmare analyzed and discussed. Evaluation results of simulations in Matlab show that theBurg algorithm based on the AR model has high frequency resolution and suitable degreeof difficulty. Then the effect of AR parameters such as sampling frequency, samplingpoints, length of FFT and order of the model on power spectrum estimation are analyzed,the optimization principles of the AR parameters are defined. The determined modelalgorithm is simulated with a high-noise, multi-jamming signals and has good resultsThis thesis also introduces the design of the hardware and software of the system.First, the main modules of hardware and the function of device are briefly introduced,and the selection of the microwave modules, the design of the signal frequency amplifiercircuit and the main function realization of each part of the digital filtering processingmodules are analyzed. Second, the main function of each part of the software arediscussed. Then basic simulation of the system is assigned and improving strategies areput forward. The results indicate that the feasibility of the design of the Doppler radarspeed measuring system is able to basicly meet the requirements of design.
