The low-level-light images is a hot issue in the image fields. In thepast,The low-level-light images are monochrome images, the biggestdrawback is that the signal to noise ratio is low and it is lack of depthperception. Using of the eye’s high resolution and high sensitivity ofthe visual characteristics, color image fusion can increase the visualsystem for target detection and recognition, having obvious practicalsignificance, So image fusion technology is one of the urgent researchin modern.This paper introduces the existing low-level-light image fusionalgorithm, then simulate an improved combination of wavelet transform andthe color space conversion algorithm. Because of the large amount ofinformation and the high requirement of real-time, on the base of thesimulation results of the fused image, a real-time image hardware platformbased on640,000gates FPGA and high-performance dual-DSP chip is formed,FPGA is used for two image acquiring,while DSP is used for data processing,DSP also features high-capacity external data memory SDRAM and programmemory FLASH. Based on this hardware platform,a software system is built,in which EDMA completes the data transfering.This paper completes the system design,PCB design,appliancesoldering,s oftware design, and the whole system debugging.
