With the fast development of the third generation mobile communication systems,as well as commercial networks built in many countries, the third generation mobilecommunication systems develop rapidly. The co-existence of different mobilesystems has been paid more attention by operators and manufactures. Many majorcompanies have carried out research on this issue. In China, the three operatorsemploy different3G standards. Therefore, it is necessary to proceed with the researchabout the co-existence of3G mobile communication systems. This thesis focuses on the co-existence of cdma2000and TD-SCDMA, which ismostly likely deployed in China, and analyzes their performance loss, and then givessome suggestions that may guide the deployment of these two wirelesscommunication systems. Firstly, this thesis describes how to use the method ofdeterministic calculation to analyze the interference in the worst cases betweencdma2000system and TD-SCDMA system. According to a variety of theirtransceiver features and wireless performance targets, such as the adjacent channelpower leakage ratio (ACLR) and spurious interference from the transmitter as well asthe adjacent channel selectivity (ACS) and blocking features of the receiver, theadditional isolation is obtained for resolving the co-existence and co-site problembetween cdma2000system and TD-SCDMA system.Second, this thesis focuses on the Monte Carlo simulation method for the systemco-existence by building the static simulation platform, and the interferencesrevolving UE between cdma2000system and TD-SCDMA system were studied indetail. The relationship of ACIR and capacity loss is obtained in Macro scenario whenthe two systems are co-area around1920MHz for12.2kbps speech. The simulationresults of cdma2000and TD-SCDMA co-existence in this thesis provide valuablereference of the research of hybrid network planning and optimizing. At last, thesmart antenna and the power control technology, which are useful for improvingsystem capacity and call quality, are also adopted in this thesis, so the results and thesuggestions would be more practical. The calculation results and conclusions obtained for the co-existence ofcdma2000system and TD-SCDMA system presented in this thesis is useful forreference. Finally, suggestions to avoid the interferences and topics which requirefurther studies are proposed.
