Research And Application Of Enterprise Document Management System

Knowledge management is one of the latest theoretical fruits ofmanagement science and information science cross-disciplinary subjects. It is anew management activity which accompanies with economy developmentevolution from industry economy to knowledge economy.In this thesis, by taking the enterprise knowledge management strategy ofPATAC as the example，the author analyzes current problems and challengesenterprise KM faces, and providing research contents and direction: includingKM activity planning and org structure, KM basic structure and main function,enterprise culture construction of learning organization.Firstly, by deep analyze the main questions and key technology duringdevelopment and design, the author elaborates theoretically what kind offunction and characteristic the system should be equipped with, so as to manageand utilize the documents and knowledge created during the process.Secondly, the author discussed how to make use of Documentum platformto build up discrete database, realize file non-structure data management,including information capture, data storage, workflow, lifecycle, security controland data search, etc.Meanwhile, based on document management system, we main discussedhow to defy and recognize knowledge document, then by exploring andaccumulating knowledge, process define and security control, we build up a safeknowledge management system for sharing.In this thesis, the author thoroughly studied the system by making use ofactual case, introduced functions in the system, background role setting anddefinition; meanwhile, introduce lessons learned during R&D process, andindicated further improvement.By combining the actual circumstance, the essay introduces how KMconcept implement within the enterprise, the fruit achieved in each phase, andhow to create knowledge sharing enterprise culture with the help of the KMsystem.
