Integrated Aircraft Environment Surveillance System (IAESS) mergestraditionally separated airborne avionics equipments, and it can promote thesafety degree of flight while reducing the cost and space. In IAESS groundsimulation, prodigious amount of real-time data are exchanged amongsubsystems. To ensure the reliability of huge amount data transmission,this paper prompts a Data Transmission System for IAESS DigitalMock-Up. The Data Transmission System is made up by data distributionlayer and system control interface. The former can handle the dataexchange task, while the interface can extend configuration function andnecessary extendibility.By using communication technology based on Memory-Mapped Filesobjects, self-defined communication protocol, multithreading, dual-buffer,TCP and UDP techniques, this paper designs and implements a new datadistribution layer for IAESS. Performance tests indicate that this layer iscredible, scalable, and sufficient to transmit the information betweensubsystems of IAESS simulator, and it is capable of real-time application.In order to reduce the workload of every programmer and increase theproject speed, the data transmission system manages configurationparameters through XML files and packages the distribution layer intoDLL files. Meanwhile, the system designs a parameter synchronizationmechanism based on.NET Remoting and Named Pipe technology. ARINC429bus is also supported by the data transmission system.The transmission system provides effective method to realize required functions and can monitor data flow of system. From the interface, usercan even chooses different network cards manually if it’s necessary.
