| After a long-term development of the finite element method, a large amount of matureand excellent commercial software of FEA has appeared since1950, such as NASTRAN,ANSYS, ABAQUS, MARC, I-DEAS, RADIOSS, PAMCRASH, FLUENT, SAMCEF, etc.,as far as the current software is concerned, the each company has its own analysis software,and comes with its special pre-processing and post-processing software which can onlydispose the corresponding result file. Then a lot of inconvenience will generate when theusers dispose the result files which are exported from different FEA software. So it isimperative to develop a universal post-processing system(this paper names it hybridmodeling system) of FEA, at the same time, it is necessary to design a universal set of dataformat.Based on this fact, aimed at the model data and result data of the common FEA software,some work is done:First, the data type of the finite element model is analyzed, a universal data format isdesigned with reference to the description of the relevant parts of the standard of theexchange of product model data.Then, the character of the data of the common commercial software is researched,concerning the typical element type of FEA, the data transform from the general format to theuniversal format is achieved.Finally, the theory of memory-mapped file which is applied to huge text file isintroduced. Through the application of some relevant examples, the feasibility andcorrectness of data transform are verified.The designing of the data interface is the first step during the process of the design of thehybrid modeling system, it is not very theoretical, but very important.The post-processingprogram is meaningful only if the model data and result data which are acquired after transforming are correct. The universal set of data format is simple, easy to understand,andalso has some flexibility,can be easily applied to the hybrid modeling system and otherrelated fields. |
