Along with the development of the electric power industry in our country, because of itsunique insulation performance, SF6gas is more and more widely used in high voltageswitch equipment. And the moisture control is an important test in the use of SF6.The moisture content of SF6equipment needed moisture test equipment to measure butdomestic moisture test equipment, test time is too longer to use in field. Importedmoisture testing instruments is expensive resulting in high cost of testing. The importedmoisture measurement instrument using U.S. patents which cannot be used in thedomestic test equipment. Therefore independent research to meet on-site test requirementand measurement precision of trace moisture measuring is very important. This paperintroduces a kind of fuzzy control digital mirror dew-point meter. And this research forSF6performance test has important practical value and social significance.This paper first introduces the characteristics of SF6and the importance of moisturemeasurement for SF6gas quality control. Overview of the current domestic andinternational trace moisture test methods, measuring instruments designed issues, thedevelopment status of the dew point sensor and dew point meter, we proposed thedevelopment and improvement of the domestic dew point meter accuracy and speedrequirements.Secondly, for the balance of SF6moisture measurement is slow, this paper presents a dewpoint meter control system designed based on fuzzy control algorithm. This paperintroduction fuzzy control principle and development in brief, details the dew point fuzzycontrol system algorithm design and implementation methods. For the dew point controlaffected by many factors, on the basis of fuzzy control we use a composite control withdead zone PID control and fuzzy control in order to further improve the reliability of thecontrol.For the hardware of the control system, this paper introduce the C8051F005series chipcore and peripheral control system design and further information on the design ofman-machine interface circuit including LCD and ancillary circuits.Finally, this paper shows the scene experimental results of the new dew point meter basedon the fuzzy control system. Experimental results show that measurement accuracy of thefuzzy control digital mirror dew point instrument reaches the international advanced level,test speed is better than similar instruments. Its accuracy and reliability have increasedbecause of the pollution and possible errors are excluded. The research of SF6gas trace moisture measurement instrument effectively improves theaccuracy and reliability of trace moisture measurement, it also has important practicalvalue in raising the level of domestic trace moisture test.
