Image distortion analysis and research is an important topic of computer vision and pattern recognition.It has played a significant role in the research on remote sensing,medical imaging and target identification based on the multi-sensor fusion.In modern aviation and astronautics domain,due to various internal and external reasons,the remote sensing image will inevitably have distortion.In order to eliminate image distortion,there are two methods now:optical image correction and digital image correction.Optical image correction has good real-time performance,so the signal will not be delayed.However,this method has obvious insufficiencies:the correction system must have a high precision;special parts of the system will increase the volume and weight;it will reduce the signal-to-noise ratio,and make the target detection more difficult.Digital correction does not need to insert any optical element on the path of rays,and only adopts the software processing to correct the distortion directly.For the remote sensing detectors on earth-synchronous platform,which generate image using the 45°scanning mirror rotating around two axes,this thesis carries on some analysis and research on the distorted image,and introduces the correction methods based on the mathematical model.At last,the thesis develops a software for the 45°rotating scanning mirror image distortion correction.The main research contents of the thesis include:1.According to the characteristics of the 45°rotating scanning mirror,this thesis deduces the 45°rotation model and ground-scanning track based on the analysis and research of its mathematical model.Furthermore for the practical applications,some improvements and adjustments have been done in this thesis;2.In modern space-to-earth observation,the curvature of the earth is an important factor, which has to be considered and should not be neglected.In this thesis the image distortion correction with the curvature of the earth will be analysed and researched.Then from a full-fresh point of space analytic geometry,we propose a new distortion correction method;3.This thesis develops a image distortion correction software of the 45°rotating scanning mirror including image interpolation and image mosaic,which is based on the presented models and methods and is implemented with Visual C ++ 6.0.A series of distortion image correction experiments generated with our software demonstrate that our methods are correct and feasible.
