Tunnel has an important position in transportation. Tunnel construction is booming.According to the characteristics of the tunnel that it is construted underground, problems needto be solved in the tunnel construction which include structure monitoring, gas monitoring,geological monitoring, and the project schedule management. It is a complicated process. Inorder to match the tunnel construction, this article, in view of meeting the demand for thetunnel construction intelligent management, has made the function analysis and design for thetunnel construction intelligent management system. And also it has realized the visualconstruction progress system which is an important part of the tunnel construction intelligentmanagement system.In this paper, according to the characteristics of tunnel construction, the tunnelconstruction intelligent management system is comprehensively, electronically andintelligently designed. The total system is divided into multiple heterogeneous systeminterface, the geological advanced prediction system, the harmful gas monitoring system, thestructure deformation special point monitoring system, construction quality control system,dynamic video monitoring system, image progress display system,3D virtual demonstrationsystem, the visible video of the scene system, voice two-way talkback system, personnelequipment positioning system. The modules are made concrete demand analysis and designscheme, and prepare well for specific realize of the system afterwards.Also this paper has realized.the visual construction progress system which is animportant part of the tunnel construction intelligent management system.The system storesand manages the tunnel construction schedule data, and show and inquire them in a variety ofmeans. The progress management method and software scheme are chosed according to therequirement of the tunnel construction. The visual construction progress system is dividedinto four modules: data management module, global overlooking display module, twodimensional and details display module and3D display module. The system runs in thewindows system environment, is developed with visual C++tool, applies the application ofobject-oriented program technology, and combines database technology and OpenGL3D graphics display technology. And it is tested according to the system testing procedures toensure that the system functions go well.
