Along with the development of global manufacturing industry,so many large industrialequipments are springing up like mushrooms in plants, the equipment often associate with"jump" phenomenon because of the the high temperature and high pressure working condition. So it will play a vital role to excogitate a way to get the distortion of equipment indetermining the safe of it.The appearance of three-dimensional laser scanning technology brings a new revolutionin geomatics after GPS technology, the traditional measuring method of single point can notsatisfy the modern surveying requirements of reflecting truth measurement object,butthree-dimensional laser scanning technology take non-contact way to launch high-speedlaser scanning measured body to get high density and high precise point cloud data whichcan determine the space and color information of it.Therefore the new technology hasincomparable advantages compared with other techniques. It has a great realistic anddirective significance to research the feasibility of using three-dimensional laser scanningtechnology to survey large industrial equipment distortion even extend the new way todeformation monitoring fields. The paper introduces working principle, system composition, application fields andtechnical features of three-dimensional laser scanning technology in detail, summarizes theperformance characteristics of Lecia Scanstation C10which mentioned in the paper and theimprovement compared with its predecessor scanstation2, also introduces the ground typethree-dimensional laser scanning point cloud data collection methods, cutions, algorithm ondata preprocessing and steps, the methods of constructing industrial equipment surface modelbased on cyclone software.Because the su120-2compressor first time is placed in groundwithout foundation in our country,so the safe of the compressor is uncertain,in order todetermine if the compressor is stable under working pressure condition the paper combinethree-dimensional laser scanning technology with traditional industrial measurementtechnology to monitor the su120-2compressor, through comparing the data of twoperiods,it confirms that using three-dimensional laser scanning technology to monitorindustrial equipment is feasible and su120-2compressor is safe and stable after firstpresurized operation, at the same time it make the su120-2compressor visualization tobuild the real three-dimensional model of it,of course the effect of model is reliable.
