With the development of industrialization in China, more and more enterprises arecreating wealth and improving people’s living standards while also polluting theenvironment. Especially the water pollution is becoming more and more serious, not only thequality of surface water such as rivers and lakes in deterioration, the underground water, asan important drinking water resource, is also being polluted. The increasingly serious waterpollution is threatening the health of human beings and the sustainable development of thissociety.The serious pollution has forced people to pay attention to monitoring the pollution ofwater on-line and achieving well sewage treatment. There is lots of water qualitymonitoring station needed for monitoring the wastewater discharge on-line, but it is a hugebudget for large-scale construction. To solve this dilemma, this paper introduces amanagement system for on-line sewage detection with data acquisition and data supervision,which has lower costs and ensures the reliability of detected data. The system is anembedded system which is based on S3C2440microprocessor and the embedded Linuxoperating system. The human-computer interaction of the system is implemented byMiniGUI and touch screen. The data acquisition of ADC with SPI and the control ofmonochromator is completed by means of various interfaces of the S3C2440microprocessor, which is meant complete the ammonia nitrogen detection in water based onspectrophotometry. The data transmission of the system and remote server is executed bythe net control chip onboard. The paper describes the system development process andimplementation of key technologies. Experimental measurements indicated that the systemworks stably and reaches the standard wanted.The application and popularization of this management system for on-line sewagedetection will cut down the construction cost while ensure the quality of on-line detection,and therefore bring us favorable social and commercial benefits.
