LTE offers high space multiplexing gain and diversity gain with the adoption ofMIMO-OFDM as physical layer technology. MIMO, OFDM, and other advanced wirelesstransmission technology are adopted in the LTE system, flat network architecture and anall-IP system architecture to support the peak data rates of200Mbit/s over the maximum20MHz system bandwidth and shorter transmission delay significantly, improve thesystem throughput, so a stronger signal processing capability is needed on the user side. Thus in the stage of system development the entire baseband processor which is executedon a high-speed digital processor in the form of software development is of very practicalvalue and significanceSandbridge Technologies introduced its flexible multi-core SB3500basebandprocessor, any multi-mode multi-function mobile platform wireless protocol can beexecuted on this platform, and physical layer task is treated on three of its four-thread DSPcores. This paper studies the SB3500processor platform architecture and LTE UEbaseband processing platform.First introduce the basic concept of the LTE physical layer and some of the keyphysical layer technologies, meanwhile analysis the AMBA protocol. This can providebasic theoretical knowledge of SB3500baseband processor platform algorithm.Followed by a brief introduction of SB3500chip features and software developmentprinciples and development process. Finally, combining the advantages of the SB3500processor in the algorithmimplementation, assessment of the LTE algorithm module, analysis of the pros and consbased on the platform. Simulations show that the performance of the algorithm based onthe platform have improved significantly.
