Design And Implementation Of Educational Management System In Higher Education College

Along with the development and extensive application of information technology, computer has been integrated into people’s study, life, work in various fields, and the higher education colleges are faced with huge challenges. With the continuous reformation of higher education mechanism and the improvement of management requirements, management system has become the base application software of the educational administration in higher education colleges. The use of flexible, efficient management system can reduce the working pressure of administrators, and promote the work qualities in college greatly. Because of the rapid development of the higher education colleges’mode and scale, several seperate administrative departments are responsible for teaching affairs, which brings management works newer and stricter requirements. It’s necessary for education colleges information management to construct modern colleges. So according to the situation in higher education colleges, we have successfully developed the educational management system.According to the requirement analysis, which includes overall system architecture, database security, system requirements and system function, we have formulated a flexible, open and applicable system resolution. As the existing educational management systems are mostly based on traditional single C/S or B/S mode, which are difficult to meet the requirements of our system solution, a mode combined with C/S and B/S is adopted. In this mode, Oracle and PL/SQL are used as the backend database, and Delphi2009, ASP.NET, PL/SQL Develper and the assistant software Dreamweaver5.0are used as the front end development tools.The main contents of this thesis include:feasibility study of the design and development of the educational management system for the higher education colleges, introductions of the project background, the development states, related technologies analysis and the goal and importance of the system research, requirements analysis and system design, and illustration of the information system frame including the management of school roll, teaching administration, score management, exam management and teaching material management, data structure design, user interface layouts and code implementation. The system also does research on security, and use intelligent upgrade to resolve the problem of remote distance between different campuses and to reduce maintenance.After the system is put into use, it has been running stably. The application of the system apparently reduces the workload of the education administrators, promotes work efficiency, and provides good management service platform for teachers and students. Meanwhile, the system has the management function for teaching textbooks and archives management.
