The paper is forcused on researching the theory of Hall effect sensingtechonol to look for a new method which improves the performance ofuncontact current measurement by overcoming disadvantagesof triditionalmethod with consideration of feasibility and cost.Hall Effect sensing technology is wildly used in current measurementfiled especially for middle frequency current signals. It features simpleconstruction and low cost. Some high-permeability material, such aslaminated iron and its alloys, is offen used to strengthen the magnetic flux. But it encounters problems such as saturation and remanent magnetization. Itmay cause distortion and nonlinear problem resulting in false responses incurrent detection. Treating the signal segmentally by hardware and close loopHall effect sensor are two meathods to increase accuracy. However, thesemeathods are supported by very complicate hardware systems, which lead tohigh cost and long development period.Micro compute unit can compensate the error caused by iron core bysoftware algorithm. It is a solution that features high accuracy, low cost and automatic calibration. A new method of uncontact current measurement, which is capable of measuring higher current with higher accuracy, isintroduced in this paper. The paper presents theory analysis and experimentresult, which proved the effectivity of the method.
