| Online storage is a service that can store and get the data via network. Itis a trend of mobile storage, a bank of data, and then it generates an emergingindustry—Storage Service Provider.Shanghai NiMing computer technology co., ltd. used to do business ofsoftware outsourcing. In2009the company transformed its business to onlinestorage service completely. The boss found the chance with his insight of ITindusty, but the company lack of the research of online storage industry andthe strategic planning of the new business.In this paper, the current situation and the law of development of theonline storage in China and the status of shanghai NiMing company wereinvestigated in order to generate strategic planning to help the company to bethe leader of the online storage industry in China. In this paper, the current situation of the online storage was analysedwith Product life cycle theory, the competitive environment was analysedwith Michael Porter’s five forces model, the competition and managementtactics of the industry were analysed with strategic grouping, value chain andvalue curve. Finally the strategic palnning of the company was generatedwith SWOT analyse by taking account of the status of the company. |
