As early as1999, the concept of Internet of Things Internet of Things is considered the"third wave" of the information industry, attracted widespread attention. Internet of Thingswill expand the service object from the people to objects, the global end-user the number ofexpansion from the current billions to tens of billions in the future, end-user scale achieved ahistoric breakthrough.Things widely used, access to a variety of ways. The Internet of Things gateway deviceis the key equipment will integrate a variety of means of access, unified Internet accessnetwork. Equipment to meet the access needs of the local area short-distance communication,and connection to the public network, to achieve perceived extension of the network andaccess network at the same time forwarding, control, signaling exchange and codec. TheInternet of Things gateway will be widely used in smart home, smart communities, digitalhospital, and intelligent transportation industries will play a very important role in the futureof things.In this thesis, on the basis of the existing Internet of Things gateway design based onPLC and ZigBee technology of Things home gateway design. The design of the S3C2440asmain chip, and integrated ZigBee coordinator, power line carrier modulation anddemodulation circuit, Bluetooth communication circuit. Operating system using Linux2.6.32transplantation, and as a software development platform for the Boa Web server, SQLiteembedded database. The gateway to the power line carrier communication (PLC),supplemented by the ZigBee wireless communication technology, constitute the Internet ofThings perception layer network structure. PLC technology eliminates the need for sensornetwork dedicated wiring, through the power line to achieve the data exchange between eachnode can solve the problem of the wireless node battery-powered, short life, obstacles block.ZigBee technology can be implemented with PLC technology complement each other, for noplace of power line network, the gateway integrated wireless wired two sensor network accessmethods, network is convenient, flexible, real-world applications and broad prospects.
