With the coming of knowledge economy, the using of information will increasefrequency. Study of the different user groups in informational retrieval behavior willfind its characteristics and difference, recognize its rules, which will further updateand improve informational retrieval model for better meeting requirements of specificreaders.In this study, we deeply analysis and study the status of informational retrievalbehavior of the vocational college teachers from two aspects of informational retrievalobstacles and activities based on its relative theory, and analysis their reasons to seekthe methods in resolving problems and explore informational retrieval law in theprocess of teaching and research of the vocational college teachers in order toimprove the utility of resources. By analysis of the examples about the vocationalcollege teacher’s requirements of information in selection of the informationalresources around their topics, we can draw the following main problems in theinformational retrieval behavior of the current vocational college teachers: Theteacher’s searching capabilities should be further strengthened due to their weakawareness of information; the service should be significantly improved due to thepoor resources of library collections; the effectiveness of information should beexpanded due to the incomplete social support system. Finally, this study proposes tostrengthen the informational retrieval education, English education for teachers andproposes suggestions to improve social support system. |
