The vibration of bridge structure is an important influence factor in the operation andsafety of the bridge, therefore the understanding of the dynamic characteristics become veryimportant. The thesis uses the existing researches home and abroad about opticalmeasurement and digital image processing technique for references, improving the digitalimage measuring method of vehicle-bridge coupled vibration, and carrying out lab modeltest. The thesis consults a great deal of publications and literature on structure identificationmethods of dynamic parameter and digital image measuring techniques. The author makesmore comprehensive discussion of the research background, theoretical significance,existing achievements and the current problems of structural dynamic parameteridentification methods.The main research works innovations of this paper are as follows:Firstly, the author introduces the testing process of video image vibration testtechnology. With ordinary digital camera and PC as its hardware, the vibration test of simplysupported beam is performed, which identifies dynamic characteristics. Furthermore,comparing with the result of using Matlab to solve the differential equations ofvehicle-bridge coupled system and the result of testing, this these validates the feasibility ofthe research of vehicle-bridge coupled vibration.Secondly, the thesis reviews and analyzes the main methods in digital image measuringtechniques and image edge detection, giving detail introduction on polynomial fittingmethod of image edge detection.
