Remote Video Monitoring System Based On ARM Processor

Remote video surveillance system is a combination of computer technology,multimedia and information technique, and it is also one of the new integrated systems. Asthe network’s popularity and the continuous development of embedded technology, videosurveillance technology is towarding from the traditional way to digital, systematic,networking and intelligent direction. Embedded microprocessor for a remote videomonitoring system provides efficient and affordable solution.This article describes a technique that based on embedded remote video surveillancesystem. Experiment using the ARM processor S3C2440A as the hardware platform to theembedded Linux operating system, achieved through the USB camera capture videoinformation is transmitted through the wireless network, and finally the remote PC,real-time monitoring task.This article discusses remote video surveillance system and introduce how totransplant the embedded Linux operating system: Boot Loader, including the realization ofkernel analysis, as well as the establishment of the root file system, etc.. Then introduces theapplications based on embedded platform construction: embedded WEB server, embeddedvideo server, and embedded SSH servers. Finally discusses the PC platform, remote videosurveillance system to achieve the client, and based on SSH protocol remote controlfunctions.
